1. Bali, Indonesia
First stop, Bali Indonesia. The most popular island in Indonesia is no secret! Go to the North for the cheapest parts. But, what is there to do there? You can rent inexpensive villa with pool or an automatic motorbike, sign up for some Yoga classes or just spend your time relaxing on the beach!
Most people stick to Ubud but if you are surfer you can head down to the south side like Uluwatu, it has some of the best in the world. And if you get bored of Bali, don’t worry, because there are other thousand paradise islands in Indonesia and all of them are cheaper than Bali.
2. Hanoi, Vietnam
50 years ago Vietnam was torn apart by war, but today it is one of the 20 best cheap summer vacations on the planet. There are many beautiful temples in the Old Quarter, Hanoi, and there are over 1900 rocks and islands around Ha Long Bay.
Lose yourself in the little street of Hanoi. Travel from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City which has tons of beautiful French colonial architecture or travel from North to South. Vietnam costs you around $20 for daily spending and the whole length of the country is really affordable. You can even get fresh beer in Hanoi that costs only 25 cents!
A final piece of advice, a motor cycle adventure which cost 300 bucks from Ho Chi Minh City to Hanoi is totally worth the try!
3. New Orleans, USA
This is likely to be your favorite city in the United States! It blends French incredibly culture with a great music and the food alone is worth the trip. The music genres of Jazz and Blue famously come from here. You can take a night walk around the quite French Quarter in Louisiana or find a little gems in Nola like the botanical garden.
The next step is Thailand! Thailand is the go to destination for most backpackers and with good reason – where else can you get a private cabana on the beach for 10 bucks, a inexpensive hour long massage and some amazing street food for $1? Thailand has been attracting visitors from all over the world with its lush jungles, famed beaches, world class diving, tasty dishes and crazy parties!
The island and beaches are starting to get more expensive but Chiang Mai in the north Thailand, the 2nd largest city, is still a great deal. Especially if you want to do some backpacking or volunteering at elephant’s sanctuary. If you want to head up the island, Phi Phi is a great deal and Kerabi has some incredible rock climbing over the ocean.
Ecuador, named after the equator, is quite an incredible country. It is home to the end of the amazing volcano mountain Pinchincha. Along with the grow up island, the amazon rain forest, some beautiful waterfalls and plenty of good surf points. So if you going to go anywhere in Latin America, you should go to Ecuador.
6. Montreal, Canada
Next stop is Montreal. Montreal combines a French Canadian culture with great food, a killer music scene and some of the best prices you will find in a North American city.
There is a road that used to be an old mail service for the U.S. post office. You can imagine how it would feel to drive down these narrow forest roads with a car or cart maxed out with packages. That would be quite an experience!
7. The Himalayan Region, India
Hands down one of the most classic cheap summer destinations has to go The Himalayan Region in India. It is the cheapest of cheap and has it all. Ladies and gentlemen, that Himalayas are incredible! You can pose for Yoga shots and get find some of the most instagram worthy food around!
In addition you’ve got Mumbai which is home to the famous Bollywood genre. No matter where you go, you can travel around the Himalayas for a whole month for the price of one week in Europe.
8. Mexico City
Forget spring breaks and go to Mexico City. The vibrate capital of Mexico is full of the amazing street art, architecture and some of the best food on the planet. For those of you in the United States, especially people in California, Mexico is extremely accessible and one of the cheapest locations in the world. Head down to Bahooka California where you can surf, drink beer, eat lobster tacos and drink amazing wines for cheap.
Budapest is one of my favorite cities in Europe. A stunning capital full of art from the golden days of the Hungarian Empire. Even better, Budapest is on top of 120 natural hot springs that will provide you with some of the best open bath houses. All these can be done for as little as 35 euros per day.
Feel like you want a change in scenery? How about in Nepal? Nepal is the access point for the Himalayas and even if you don’t feel like want to climb Mount Everest, there are still tons of stuff to do. You can go wild water rafting, paragliding, explore the Buddhist monastery and even go on the wildlife safari in the jungles and see rhinos. Yes, Nepal has rhinos! The country is still recovering from the past earthquake so your tourist’s dollars will go a long way in rebuilding Nepal.
11. Sri Lanka
If you want something like India, but still want to stay in Asia, Sri Lanka might be for you. This island nation was once raft with civil war but is now in peace. Travel as you discover all the beautiful beaches, colourful culture and over 5000 elephants! Nicaragua is a Central American country that is a great way to get cross over to Costa Rica! Costa Rica is an incredible country but because it becomes so popular, it is got so much more expensive. That’s not the case with Nicaragua. It’s got under-developed beaches, great surf spots, cheap beer and tons of adventure opportunities. So go get down to Nicaragua before tourism takes over!

Get into Kasol for the quickest and cheapest food and sights. Find Pondicherry where you can stay and get vegetarian food for free. Yes, for free! If you are not vegetarian, then move to Kodaikanal for cheap chicken and nice view. And for sure, explore Jaipur for a day getaway!
Croatia is a favourite spot of many travelers. But unfortunately its popularity means that the prices have increased dramatically. So, save money by spending time in lesser known places like Blitz beach national Park or its capital, Zagreb. Check out the bay of Kotor and Montenegro and the beaches.

Portugal, the capital of Lisbon, is one of the most enchanting cities in Europe. Amazing hills, views and there is garden with beautiful villas as well as the iconic trolley – and on top of all this it has a great value! It is the safest country in the North Africa and it’s got tons of style. It’s got popularized by expats like the rolling stones and completed with a Portuguese castles. You can go sandboarding in Sahara Desert, explore the Blue city of Morocco in Chafchaouan and shop at the pretty shops in Marrakech.
